I am an Assistant Prof. of Marketing at Siena College. I received my Ph.D. in Marketing (2011) from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. I worked as a Brand Manager at Banvit (2001-2002) prior to obtaining my MBA (2005) from Koç University. My BA degree is in Management (2001) from Bogaziçi University

My main research interest lies in the broad area of food consumption and health. Primarily, I focus on how the act of food preparation itself affects food consumption, especially healthy consumption. I also work on the areas of self-production, self-concept, emotions, and culture. My work has been published in various academic journals such as IJRM and Psychology & Marketing. 

I teach courses on marketing, consumer behavior, and brand management at undergraduate, MBA, and Executive Education programs. I also teach a PhD course on Experimental Methodology and Information Processing.
